11.08.2026 IMC completed the wheat harvesting

A total of 115.3 ths tonnes of winter wheat was harvested from an area of 19.2 ths hectares, with an average yield of 6 tonnes per hectare—31% higher than the average wheat yield in Ukraine (according to data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine as of August 4, 2026, the average wheat yield in Ukraine was 4.57 tonnes per hectare).

This year’s winter wheat harvesting campaign at IMC was carried out in a highly organized manner and within a short timeframe. This was facilitated by both favorable weather conditions during the harvesting and the renewal of the fleet of combine harvesters, which took place just before the season began. This allowed the IMC team to work with high productivity and minimize crop losses. At the same time, the winter wheat season proved to be one of the most challenging in recent years.

“Although this year’s wheat yield at IMC significantly exceeds the average yield in Ukraine, our result for the current year is considerably lower than last year’s record yield of 7.4 tonnes per hectare. The main reason for this was the difficult overwintering of the wheat: due to severe frosts and the lack of snow cover, the crops emerged from winter significantly thinned out and weakened. An additional challenge was posed by abnormal frosts in late April and early May, which seriously affected plant growth; in some regions, the situation was further exacerbated by a lack of moisture.

Despite all these factors, we consider the results achieved to be satisfactory. This is an achievement of our production teams, who responded promptly to the challenges of the season and ensured that all fieldwork was carried out to a high standard. “I would like to thank all employees involved in the harvesting for their professionalism, responsibility, and dedication to their work,” commented Bohdan Kryvitskyi, COO of IMC, on the wheat harvesting.
